7-Year-Old Blind Boy Melts Hearts With Cuteness and National Anthem

Gavin Stevens is a 7-year-old from Eastvale, Calif., who made a name for himself after singing the national anthem at a Los Angeles Kings hockey game. Gavin suffers from LCA, a rare disease that is characterized by a severe loss of vision at birth. On Sunday, Gavin joined Steve Harvey on Little Big Shots for another performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Before Gavin sang, he sat with Steve on the couch for a cute conversation. He asked Steve if he could feel his head because someone had told him Steve was bald. After Gavin rubbed his head, Steve redirected Gavin’s hand to his mustache so Gavin could feel that he did have some hair on his head. Gavin giggled as he said, “You spit on me,” to which Steve replied, “Yeah, I spit on you, but so what?” as he grabbed Gavin’s hand and wiped it on his suit. But the moment that would melt even the coldest of hearts was when Gavin said, “Mr. Harvey … I love you.”

Gavin then hit the stage and belted out the national anthem while everyone stood with hand on heart and waving American flags.
