'American Housewife': Watch This Morning's Facebook Live Chat with Katy Mixon Here!

Join us at 10:30 a.m. ET Monday for a Facebook Live chat with Katy Mixon, star of the new ABC comedy American Housewife, premiering Tuesday. The Mike & Molly alum plays Katie Otto, a stay-at-home mother of three trying to raise grounded children in the wealthy, picture-perfect town of Westport, Connecticut with the help of her husband, Greg (Veep‘s Diedrich Bader).

She has her hands full with popular teen Taylor (Meg Donnelly), Alex P. Keaton wannabe Oliver (Daniel DiMaggio), and adorable germaphobe Anna Kat (Julia Butters). As creator Sarah Dunn, who based the show on her life in a similar Hudson River enclave an hour from Manhattan, told us for our Fall TV Preview, “She’s trying to get two to fit in less and one to fit in more.”

Mixon took the role because she “loved the message. She’s an authentic lady living in an inauthentic world. She is trying to handle living among the Stepford wives. Some days she triumphs and some days she doesn’t.”

American Housewife premieres Oct. 11 at 8:30 p.m. on ABC.
