‘Arrow’ Star Stephen Amell Demolishes ‘American Ninja Warrior’ Course
On a special Red Nose Day version of American Ninja Warrior, celebrities took on the famed obstacle course to raise money for children in need. Erika Christensen, Natalie Morales, Derek Hough, and others earned $5,000 toward the charity for every obstacle they successfully overcame.
All the celebs put on a great show for a great cause, but one in particular left it all out there on the field. Or, rather, on the course. Stephen Amell plays the title superhero in the hit CW show Arrow. And based on his performance on the ANW obstacle course, he might actually be a real-life superhero.
Amell flew through the six obstacles on the course with few, if any, problems. In fact, after completing it, he asked if he could earn more money for the charity by moving on to the next obstacle course.
Amell’s Arrow character, Oliver Queen, uses a salmon ladder to train. Conveniently, that was an ANW obstacle. After climbing the ladder, Amell looked to the audience and shouted, “This is about to end, so thank you all for coming out tonight. You have been a wonderful audience.” And then he dropped into the safety pool below.
American Ninja Warrior premieres June 12 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
