Ashton Kutcher Says Mila Kunis Predicted Trump Win and Their Baby’s Name
On Monday’s The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Ashton Kutcher made the case that his wife — fellow That ’70s Show alum Mila Kunis — is always right. The story begins with a date night before the U.S. presidential election last fall, while Kunis was still pregnant with their second child. “Mila turns to me and goes, ‘I think Donald Trump is going to become the president, and I think our baby’s name is Dimitri.’ And I was like, ‘Donald Trump’s not gonna win…’ And then I forgot about the name thing, because I was like, ‘Why do you think Donald Trump…’ She called it, I’m telling you, it’s not even a joke.”
Depending on your point of view, Kunis either has precognitive abilities or is just really, really good at planting subconscious thoughts in Kutcher’s mind. “We ended up not talking about it and then two weeks later, I got home from work, and for some reason the name just stuck in my head, and I was like, ‘I think Dimitri’s the name of the baby,’ and she was like, ‘I know, right?’ And I was like, ‘That’s it!’ And yeah, that’s it.”
Naming a new kid might seem tough, but parents with more than one will tell you that introducing a new baby to their sibling is a challenge in its own right. “Wyatt thinks the baby’s her baby, and at some point I’m gonna have to explain it’s not really her baby, and I don’t know how I’m gonna do that. She loves the baby so much, it’s like Of Mice and Men, she’s like ‘I love you, and hold you, and squeeze you, and name you George,’ and I’m afraid she’s like Lenny — I’m like, ‘You’re gonna squeeze the baby’s head off, honey!’”
