Blake Shelton Makes Gwen Stefani Happy on ‘The Voice’ With Last-Second Steal
Gwen Stefani was in an emotionally fragile state Tuesday night on The Voice, as she had to choose between team members Aaliyah Rose and Brennley Brown. Aaliyah sang “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” by Meghan Trainor, and Brennley sang “Up to the Mountain” by Kelly Clarkson.
After the performances, Blake Shelton didn’t have any good advice for his girlfriend, saying, “I don’t know what to say to Gwen. No matter what we say to her, she’s gonna start crying. I hate to see her cry.”
Gwen ultimately went with Brennley, leaving Aaliyah available to steal. Blake took his time, but he eventually hit his button and stole Aaliyah, inspiring Gwen go over and hug him.
Backstage, Aaliyah said, “Gwen was such an amazing coach, and I’m just looking forward to working with Blake.”
The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
