'Descendants' Teaser Gives Shadowy Peek at Disney Bad Guys (Video)

They're rotten to the core! The upcoming Disney Channel original movie, Descendants, will feature an eclectic cast of iconic characters. And now, a long-awaited new teaser for the live action adventure finally gives us a shadowy sneak peek at some of the bad guys (and gals!) that will be featured in the 2015 TV flick.

The Kenny Ortega directed movie will follow the teen offspring of Disney's greatest heroes and villains, but this clip is all about the bad apples as shadows of Disney's most devious icons appear after Mal, the daughter of Mistress of Evil Maleficent, picks an apple from a tree. While faceless shadows are shown in the short teaser clip, it sure looks like Jafar (Aladdin), Evil Queen (Snow White), Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty), and Cruella de Vil (101 Dalmatians) are lurking in the background.

The buzzy TV movie will follow a new generation of Disney characters living in Auradon, a present day idyllic kingdom, which becomes not-so-idyllic when the exiled evil offspring of Disney degenerates Jafar, Cruella, Maleficent, and Evil Queen, (Jay, Carlos, Mal, and Evvie, who are played by Booboo Stewart, Cameron Boyce, Dove Cameron, and Sofia Carson, respectively) are allowed into the kingdom to attend prep school alongside the kids of supersweet Disney heroes Fairy Godmother, Sleeping Beauty, Mulan, and more.

Descandants will air in 2015 on the Disney Channel.
