Channing Tatum Geeked Out Over Simone Biles on ‘Ellen’

Channing Tatum and Simone Biles helped kick off the new season of Ellen on Tuesday, and the two were more than excited to meet each other. Tatum insisted that he would freak out more than Biles when they finally met. The actor also shared a theory about what makes Biles such a good gymnast: “She’s so tiny that she has a harder time holding onto the ground than just going up, because she’s always just flying away. I think she’s got really strong toes, and it helps her hold onto the ground,” said Tatum. Before the meeting, Ellen warned Biles that he may ask about her toes and told her just to ignore it.

When the time came for the two to meet, a wall opened up to reveal Tatum holding Biles’s gold medals from Rio. The gymnast was visibly excited, as was Tatum, but he didn’t freak out as much as he thought he would. To make the meeting even more special, Biles placed gold medals on Tatum and Ellen.
