‘Doctor Who’: Tenth Doctor and Rose Tyler Are Reuniting in New Audio Plays
Allons-y, shippers! Because one of the Whoverse’s most beloved couples is back! Doctor Who‘s Tenth Doctor and Rose Tyler are reuniting for a series of audio adventures by the BBC and Big Finish.
David Tennant and Billie Piper will be lending their pipes to reprise their roles as the Doctor and Rose Tyler in Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor Adventures Vol. 2., consisting of three new audio dramas, titled “Attack of the Zaross,” “Sword of the Chevalier,” and “Cold Vengeance.”
Tennant had previously reprised his role in audio form, along with Catherine Tate as companion Donna Noble. The dramas will also feature a guest performance by Camille Coduri as Rose’s clueless but bighearted mom, Jackie.
“Getting David and Billie back together was definitely on my bucket list,” said Big Finish executive producer Jason Haigh-Ellery. “Two wonderful actors who created an era of Doctor Who which is so fondly remembered and brought a different aspect of the relationship between the Doctor and his companion to the fore — love, both platonic and unrequited. It’s great to have the Tenth Doctor and Rose back again!”
The last time Tennant and Piper were onscreen together full time was back in 2006. The audio plays will be available from Big Finish both in standalone releases and as part of a special box set, digitally and physically, in November 2017.
