‘Empire’ Mid-Season Finale Hints at Killer Second Half of Season 3

On the fall finale of Empire, the Lyon family drama continued, and we were left with the setup for a potentially explosive second half of Season 3. In the episode’s final scene, Andre confronted Shyne and essentially explained how the rest of season could go down.

“Here’s how it’s gonna work from here on out. You respect the hierarchy,” Andre told Shyne. “I pull the strings here, including Nessa. Now, you do what you do, I do what I do.”

Andre continued, “We’ll put the pieces in place to cover our tracks, make all the moves we need to make until it’s time.”

“Time for what?” Shyne asked.

“Time to kill my father,” Andre said. And after a conversation with his wife Rhonda’s ghost, he should also be going after Anika Calhoun, his wife’s murderer.

Andre wasn’t the only Lyon son dealing with some deep issues. After killing it onstage, Jamal was in for a big surprise offstage. Cookie informed Jamal that he was going to rehab, and Lucious was also there to show his support.
