‘Fear the Walking Dead’ Season 3 First Look: A New Home on the Range
Madison Clark (Kim Dickens) and her family swap the boat life of Season 2 for ranch life in Season 3 of Fear the Walking Dead, hanging their post-apocalyptic hats on a giant homestead in Mexico.
The ranch, led by Sons of Anarchy and Deadwood alum Dayton Callie as Jeremiah Otto, was already set up to survive an apocalypse because Otto and his sons (The Originals’ Daniel Sharman and The Following’s Sam Underwood) are “preppers,” living off solar energy, growing their own food, and maintaining a whole camp off the grid in preparation for some end-of-the-world scenario.
The Otto fam’s skills and resources are certainly valuable in this new world, but even though the ranchers have plenty to offer Madison, Travis (Cliff Curtis), Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey), Nick (Frank Dillane) and the rest of the crew, the Clarks have plenty to teach them too — namely, that the dead are now living, and everyone will have to try to survive them.
Meanwhile, in the exclusive clip above, Dickens and the cast take viewers behind the scenes of the preppers working on the show’s elaborate ranch set, which includes the construction of entire houses, the planting of gardens, and the digging of roads leading to the property, just for Season 3.
Fear the Walking Dead Season 3 premieres June 4 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
