Kevin Hart Shares Image of Man He Says Robbed His House -- But It's Actually a Stock Photo
There's a reason why the man in the photo that Kevin Hart posted to Instagram on Wednesday may look familiar.
The 36-year-old comedian shared an image of the person he says robbed his home, and asked his Instagram followers to help him catch the guy. "Here is a picture from the security cameras of the jacka** that's been robbing houses," he captioned the photo. "Real smart move wearing the cool ski mask that shows your eyebrows and the bags under your eyes. We are on yo a** man."

Hart then asked his 37 million Instagram followers to reach out if they recognized the guy. "I'm about to show you the power of social media," he added. "One of my followers might recognize you and might not like you, which would mean that they could careless about giving you up.. Let's play a game of 'tell on the robber' real quick. Who knows, I might get lucky!!!!!"
The Central Intelligence star certainly seemed serious in his message about finding the man in the photo, though ET can confirm that the image is actually a stock photo that was used in a TMZ article from Monday. The photo accompanied a report about a possible second bling ring that is robbing the rich and famous.

Many of his fans clearly didn't take the pic too seriously, and almost immediately started calling out the alleged robber's resemblance to different celebrities. Some of Hart's followers thought the guy looked like Golden State Warriors player Stephen Curry, while others compared his appearance to that of Channing Tatum, Justin Bieber and Matt Damon.

Earlier this month, the LAPD told ET that two suspects broke through the back door of Hart's house by prying it open, and made off with high-end valuables and property. Police confirmed that over $500,000 worth of items were stolen from the comedian's residence -- including jewelry, watches and clothes. Hart and his family were out of town when the incident occurred.
