Miley Cyrus Interrupts Jimmy Fallon’s Monologue on ‘The Tonight Show’
Miley Cyrus came in like a wrecking ball on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon when she interrupted Fallon’s opening monologue. Judging by the volume of the crowd, they did not mind one bit. It turned out Cyrus was hard at twerk and there to promote her brand-new single, “Malibu.” Cyrus said, “I’m going to be popping up on a bunch of different NBC shows here in New York.”
Cyrus told Billboard that “Malibu” is a love song about her fiancé, Liam Hemsworth. Cyrus and Hemsworth share a Malibu property, and the breezy song about her Mali-boo is a departure from her more heavy-handed work.
Fans of Miley Cyrus will be excited to know that “Malibu” is out now and is the first single off an as-yet-untitled album coming out later this year.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on NBC.
