Next Generation Winner Crowned on ‘SYTYCD’
On the season finale of So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation, 14-year-old hip-hop dancer Kida Burns beat out the competition to take the crown.
Burns overcame the other three members of the final four: tap dancer Emma Hellenkamp, contemporary dancer Tate McRae, and adorable jazz dancer T.C. Church.
This was the first time the show had kid contestants, making Burns the youngest champion in the program’s history.
The finale featured the top 10 competitors, in some new routines, along with their all-star counterparts. The routines showcased the different styles that the kids brought this season, including hip-hop, contemporary, and ballroom dancing.
For the results show, the judges, all-stars, and even host Cat Deeley got to pick their favorite routines from this past season.
While the competition was fierce, the competitors were all friendly as they all piled on Burns at the end of the show to celebrate.
