‘Saturday Night Live’ #TBT: Happy Easter!
Saturday Night Live is broadcasting live in all four time zones for the first time ever this weekend — an Easter miracle! Jimmy Fallon returns to Studio 8H to host again, so we’re hoping for some classic characters (maybe the Boston teens will go Easter egg hunting?), a highly viral digital short, and breaking out of the sketch.
With Fallon at the helm, perhaps the show will yield a memorable Easter-related sketch, like the ones we dug out of the archive. Our favorite is this kooky recurring bit with Michael Keaton examining the contents of his Easter candy basket. This sketch has been done with Ed Norton (Halloween candy) and Steve Buscemi (Christmas ornaments), and all three times have been laugh-out-loud funny.
Keaton just nails it when he says, “This is a Cadbury Egg. I gave these up for Lent last year. Wanna know what I gave up this year? Cocaine — almost.”
Here are some other classic Easter-related SNL clips:
