Shocking Twist Leads to Craziest Tribal Council Ever on ‘Survivor’

Nick PaschalSupervising Producer, Yahoo Entertainment

This season of Survivor: Game Changers has already been full of surprises, and Wednesday night’s episode had the most shocking surprise yet. Before the tribes battled it out in the immunity challenge, Jeff Probst informed them that only the winning tribe would be safe, and the other two tribes would go to tribal council, where they would vote off one person.

When Mana and Nuku lost out on the competition, they went back to their camps and started hashing out the possible outcomes of tribal council. But once they got to tribal council, all of that went out the window, as complete chaos ensued.

Paranoia swept across the tribes and everyone got up and held secret conversations. It was unlike any tribal council before it — even Probst was shocked by what was happening.

Once everyone was done running around trying to figure out what to do, Probst said it was time to vote, but Hali interjected with, “I didn’t consent,” as she wasn’t quite ready to vote. After Sandra assured her that it was fine, Hali said, “All right. You may regret it, but I’ll go.”

Sandra regretted it. Just when you thought the tribal council couldn’t get any crazier, Tai pulled out an idol and gave it to Sierra, whose name was written down by Sandra and the rest of her tribe. So with Sierra’s votes being canceled out, and Malcolm being the only other person to get votes, he was the one who had his torch extinguished.

Survivor airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
