‘The Expanse’: Johnson Tells Holden, ‘We Have to Pick a Side’
What, you thought that tensions on The Expanse would get dialed down now that the threat of the protomolecule has been (temporarily) averted? Earth and Mars are still in the dark about the circumstances surrounding Eros, and the march to war wouldn’t slow down even if they did know. The Belters are still a powder keg ready to explode and are almost as dangerous as allies as they are as enemies to the crew of the Rocinante. Seems like the perfect time for Johnson and Holden to have a face-to-face chat/stare-down.

Fred Johnson (Chad Coleman) has a dark past, but everything he’s said and done shows him to be an honorable man. He’s not a fool, though, and the slightest misstep will get him and his radical OPA friends crushed by both Earth and Mars. He’s aligned himself with Holden (Steven Strait), who is turning out to be even more of a loose cannon than a rogue captain flying a stolen Martian military vessel would normally be.

The Expanse airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on Syfy.
