‘The New Edition Story’ Perfectly Recreates Classic Music Videos
On The New Edition Story, we were continually offered ’80s and ’90s eye candy with some gorgeous outfits, and in Part 3 we were dazzled by the perfect remake of several music videos, including the New Edition’s “If It Isn’t Love.” This video has the New Edition rehearsing their dance moves and their instructor, Brooke Payne, making sure everything is perfect. The dance moves and outfits were on point.
The series went onto recreate Bobby Brown’s hit, “Every Little Step I Take,” complete with suspenders and leather bike shorts. It’s possible that Wood McClain is a better Bobby Brown than Brown himself.
Bell Biv Devoe, an offshoot group from the New Edition was not to be outdone, and their “Poison” music video was deadly accurate.
Ralph Tresvant, the lead singer of the New Edition, went on to do a solo record, and they did a remake of his music video “Sensitivity,” which involved a lot of gorgeous flowy orange silk curtains blowing in the wind.
Johnny Gill, also of the New Edition, had a solo record as well, and his “My, My, My” music video was redone, complete with the red sparkly dress that made it so iconic.
