Your TV To-Do List: Meet the New Bachelorette
With so much to watch on TV it can be difficult to plan ahead. But we’re here to help! Here are the five shows you won’t want to miss this week.
The Bachelorette: Monday, May 22 at 9 p.m. on ABC
The long-running reality obsession boldly goes into new territory with its first African-American single lady — the effortlessly chic and charming, Rachel Lindsay — looking for love.
Dirty Dancing: Wednesday, May 24 at 8 p.m. on ABC
Sure, remaking the 1987 classic sounds like a terrible idea. But admit it: You can’t wait to hear how new Johnny, Colt Prattes, delivers the immortal line: “Nobody puts Baby in a corner.”
Lip Sync Battle: Thursday, May 25 at 10 p.m. on Spike
The youthful cast of Netflix’s hit series Stranger Things takes the Lip Sync stage to fake-sing along to songs like “The Humpty Dance” that were hits before any of them were born. We’re rooting for a Matthew Modine cameo in which he recreates Madonna’s “Crazy for You” performance from Vision Quest.
Bloodline: Friday, May 26 on Netflix
Travel down to the Florida Keys for the last time, as the put-upon Rayburn family try to work out their issues before the series wraps up its three-season run.
The National Memorial Day Concert: Sunday, May 28 at 8 p.m. on PBS
Observe Memorial Day with PBS’s annual live-from-D.C. concert saluting the nation’s veterans. This year’s line-up includes Moana star Auli’i Cravhalo singing the National Anthem, as well as performances by Vanessa Williams, Christopher Jackson, and Renée Fleming.
