Youngest ‘Voice’ Contestant Ever Gets Saved at the Last Second
Quizz Swanigan’s time on The Voice almost came to an end Monday night after his coach, Alicia Keys, decided to keep Chris Blue on her team. Quizz sang “Chains” by Nick Jonas, and the 13-year-old was on his way out the door when Gwen Stefani hit her steal button just in the nick of time.
Quizz isn’t the only Team Alicia member to have been stolen on the first night of the knockouts. At the end of the show, Lilli Passero went up against Ashley Levin, and Alicia decided to keep Ashley. But it didn’t take long for Adam Levine to emphatically hit his steal button, and his buddy Blake Shelton wasn’t far behind.
The two frenemies bickered back and forth, trying to persuade Lilli to come to their team. Blake argued that he was the first person to turn his chair for Lilli in the beginning, and Adam argued that Blake’s argument was nonsense.
In the end, Lilli chose Adam because “he was so bold in how he fought for me, and I’ve loved what he’s done with artists in the past. There’s a lot of potential for what we can make together.”
The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
