Chris Pratt’s famous co-stars come to his defense amid ‘worst Hollywood Chris’ flap
Chris Pratt’s famous friends have his back.
On the heels of support from his new bride Katherine Schwarzenegger, several of Pratt’s Marvel Universe co-stars — and beyond — are speaking out to boost the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy actor after Twitter dubbed him the “worst Hollywood Chris.”
It all started when a tweet went viral asking people which Chris they would get rid of — out of choices Pratt, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pine and Chris Evans. Well, the internet did its thing and dumped Pratt, mostly over the theory that he supports President Donald Trump. (The Jurassic World star’s connection to a church with anti-LGBTQ views was also mentioned. As was that “insensitive” voting-related joke.) But according to Mark Ruffalo, Pratt is “as solid a man there is.”
You all, @prattprattpratt is as solid a man there is. I know him personally, and instead of casting aspersions, look at how he lives his life. He is just not overtly political as a rule. This is a distraction. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize, friends. We are so close now.

“I know him personally, and instead of casting aspersions, look at how he lives his life,” Ruffalo, who appeared in Avengers movies with Pratt, tweeted Tuesday. “He is just not overtly political as a rule. This is a distraction. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize, friends. We are so close now.”
That led to an almost choreographed delivery of support from members of the Marvel squad. Robert Downey Jr. called Pratt “a real #Christian who lives by #principle” and said he “has never demonstrated anything but #positivity and #gratitude.” And he urged haters to delete their social accounts and work on themselves.

Zoe Saldana shared a Tupac Shakur quote and a message to Pratt, telling him he has “got this” and that his “family, friends, colleagues & everyone who’s ever crossed paths with you knows your heart and your worth!”
No matter how hard it gets, stick your chest out, keep your head up and handle it.

Guardians director and Avengers producer James Gunn called it all “nonsense” and said Pratt is “the best dude in the world.” He asked people to “Please stop assuming what he believes, politically or in any other way, because he’s a Christian.”
Sorry. Just finding out about this nonsense. @prattprattpratt is the best dude in the world. I’ve spent hours & hours sharing my deepest truths with this man, as he has with me. Please stop assuming what he believes, politically or in any other way, because he’s a Christian. https://t.co/XSIgU9WemX

Gunn added that people don’t even know Pratt’s political beliefs.
No. So why are people assuming this and tweeting this? No clue. It’s weird. https://t.co/B4IJWb3Ams

And the support came from beyond Marvel. Josh Gad said, “They don’t get better than” Pratt.
Seconded. They don’t get better than @prattprattpratt https://t.co/Fb7TuYuByf

Terry Crews praised Pratt for “having your own mind and your own beliefs.”
God bless you @prattprattpratt for having your own mind and your own beliefs.

Lucy Lawless, who was on Parks and Recreation with him, called him “the sweetest dude.”
Without a doubt, Chris Pratt was the sweetest dude I ever worked with in Hollywood. And NOTHING like his character on @parksandrec . Terrific bloke and actor. @prattprattpratt pic.twitter.com/f3gPyauLAY

While Pratt may not be “overtly political,” the same cannot be said for some of his colleagues — like Ruffalo, who is quite vocal in his criticism of President Trump, declaring in February, “The world should consider my president public enemy number one.”
In fact, Ruffalo was among the many Avengers stars who came together Tuesday night for a virtual fundraiser for Democratic nominee Joe Biden, hosted by the Russo brothers. They were joined by Saldana, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Rudd and Don Cheadle.
