The actress, best known for her roles in 1974's A Woman Under the Influence and the iconic 2004 film The Notebook, passed away at her home in Indian Wells, California on Wednesday after battling Alzheimer's disease. Her passing was confirmed by representatives for son Nick Cassavetes, and later by Cassavetes himself as he continues to share a series of tributes to his late mother on Instagram. Her passing comes just months after her Alzheimer's diagnosis was revealed to the public, however Rowlands had reportedly been battling the disease for the last 5 years. Arrest made in connection to overdose death of Matthew Perry. The beloved Friends actor passed away on October 28, 2023 at only 54 years old. He was found by authorities face down in his pool at his Pacific Palisades home. Perry's passing was originally suspected to be the result of a drowning, but an autopsy later found high levels of ketamine in his system, ruling it an accidental overdose.
